Military

So today is the day my cousin Major W. Don gets sent out of state first to Georgia then to Afghanistan... Oh how I hate this time, because he's just not my cousin but also like one of my big brothers... Although he's been overseas multiple times it's still an uncomfortable feeling... I cannot imagine what his wife and children are going through right now... It's going to be hard I know that much... I also have another brother Scott K. who has just re-enlisted back into the Army... Why?? He says that's all he knows and he doesn't like civilian life... He should be taking off to Fort Sill, OK in November... He's been in the Army for 6 years before and went on two tours overseas which I did not like... My Mother was a wreck during those times, I'll admit I would shed tears some nights just thinking about him for he's one of my younger brother's and I love him dearly as I do all my kinfolk... Hearing the news on these men and women losing their lives while overseas has my heart broken and thinking of each mother, father, brother, sister, wife, son, daughter, and granparents on what they're going through... My heart goes out to all Military troops both men and women who are serving and protecting our country for freedom... Just to sit and have a cup of coffee on a typical day is what our troops fight for, FREEDOM!! The freedom to wake up in the morning and smell the coffee, to walk outside freely, to go out and bring your children to school, to do everyday things in life you possibly cannot do in other countries... My prayers, thoughts, and heart goes out to all troops overseas, here in the US and those that are being deployed... May the Good Lord Bless You All!!

Family

So it's September 8th... My folks and niece are leaving tomorrow back to "The Rock"... (Nunivak Island)... I really am not looking forward for them taking off... I am going to miss their company that's for sure... I think this year was the best State Fair I've ever been too... My Niece and I did everything from riding rides to playing games to taking photos and having our faces painted.... I sure am going to miss my little Munchkin... I wish that they can live here in the ANC so I'm just a hop and a skip away... I can handle my folks and family being here for a couple of weeks, but living with me is a totally different story... I need my privacy and need my freedom... Hopefully I'll be able to visit them in their hometown sometimes... Although it's a bit spendy I must say... A little over a thousand dollars to get to "The Rock" and back to ANC... That just sickens and saddens me... The economy sure has changed a lot since I was a little kiddo... Well that's my story for now... Until next time...

Niece

Time sure is flying!! My folks and niece are in town visiting for a couple of weeks, well now it's less than a week now, but I'm totally enjoying their company... My niece is my life and practically what makes my life go round... It seems time has been flying by since they've been here and that's the sad part... I really don't get to hang out with them until after work which leaves us at least 4 to 5 hours before bed to go out and have family time...

The Alaska state fair is going on right now out in Palmer and we've already gone out there once, but it was just to go and see The Beach Boys in concert... Hopefully this coming Friday I'll be able to take my niece out there so that we can have a niece-aunt time together... Also hope it isn't raining either... Let's just cross our fingers and hope it doesn't rain or our plans don't get ruined...

Life and Work

So... I'm a nervous wreck right now... I have a feeling that my job is on the line and I'm hating it right now... Higher Authority is my supervisor's office as I type this and noting that a couple weeks ago the Executive Director has said that, "Some People's job's are on the line right now, and we're going to have to cut people." Him saying that he was directly looking at me and so I know I'm possibly that "Some People"... I've been brining my personal belonging's home slowly knowing that I'm possibly going to be "next" in line to leave this corrupt office life... I just pray that I'm able to find another job and hopefully a better and more non-corrupt job environment...

Anyway enough about that, let's move on... So my folk's and niece are here in town visiting and that I'm totally looking forward to most definetely!!! My niece makes my world go round and always makes my heart brighten up whenever I'm with her... I love her to pieces and she knows it... Hopefully the weather cooperates so that I can take her out to the park sometimes and also to the state fair... She's bee saying she wants to go and watch a movie... So hopefully I'll be able to do that... Anyway until next time!!!

My First Entry

Let's see!! So here is my first blog... I'm not quite sure what to write then again I can possibly write about everything and not be able to stop... I won't go there today and just write a short little introduction...

So I'm originally from Nunivak Island, Alaska and must say I miss it dearly, then again I'm somewhat glad I'm not out there right now... Living costs out there are majorly expensive and just to fly out of there is insane!! Yes there are times I wish I can go and visit my family, but $1,200.00 dollars to go out there, I think I'll pass for now...

I currently reside in the largest city in Alaska which is Anchorage... I somewhat love it then again there are times like any other where I need to get out of here... Growing up in a nature filled environment and now living in the I quote city, is a major change for me... I won't lie though, I love the fast paced life out here, then again I'd rather be out in the boonies camping, fishing, hunting, or even just relaxing out there...

So that's just like a smidgen of where I'm from... Hope everyone is having a fabulous week and also enjoying the last part of your summer!!
